Sarah Jessica Parker’s Son James Opens Up about the ‘Weird’ Experience of watching his mom’s Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That
James Wilkie who is just 20 years old reveals his thoughts on his mom’s series And Just Like That which premiered in December 2021 at the 2023 Father of the Year Awards while speaking to Entertainment Tonight at in New York City on Thursday, June 15.
He reveals he watched the first season of And Just Like That, and he “liked” it, but he “felt weird” because he has never seen the original Sex and the City series, that have six seasons from 1998 to 2004.
The eldest son of Sarah and her husband said, “I tried to watch the new one and I liked it but then I felt weird, because I haven’t watched the original,” he explained. “It felt a little weird to be watching the newer one having not watched it, even if it’s accessible.”
Broderick joked and shared the reasons why he never watched the original show, he laughed and said, “I guess it’s kind of obvious why maybe I hadn’t watched the original show as a kid,”
Sarah’s son reveals he has no excuse, he said “I’m really running out of excuses.” “I don’t really have an excuse. People ask like: ‘Oh, is that awkward for you?
“There’s like a lot of [risqué] scenes.’ That’s not that big of a deal for me. I think I just was a little too young before,” he explained.
Season two of the Sex and the City sequel series will premiere on Max on 22 June.
Along with James, Sarah Jessica parker is also the mother to 13-year-old twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion by surrogacy in 2009 whom she shares with husband Broderick.
James Wilkie, who attends Brown University, told ET that he tried it out recently and “really like it”. done”, but knows he has “a lot of things that could work, so [he’s] not too worried about it”.
“I’m still in college … right now I have time to try things out, but when I get back to school, I won’t have a lot of time to do other stuff because it’s hard,” he said.
