Long Island Serial Killer suspect Rex’s family was out of state at the time of the three murders he is accused of, according to New York investigators.
The suspect has been identified as Rex who was 59 of Massapequa Park, a village in Nassau County on Long Island. He is the owner and founder of a Manhattan architecture firm.
Authorities said at a press conference Friday that Heuermann, who has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Amber Costello, Melissa Barthelemy, and Megan Waterman, was allegedly linked to the killings by cellular data from his burner phones, his car, and hairs allegedly found at the crime scene.
“Rex Heuermann is a demon that walks amongst us, a predator that ruined families,” Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said.
