As Alana Thompson completed her graduation from Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Georgia and now she is starting a new chapter of her life as she is planning to study neonatal nursing.
June Shannon shared the news on her Instagram with her daughter’s picture and captioned,

While talking to E! News mother of Alana revealed “She is planning on going to college.,”
After the graduation ceremony, the high school Alana shared on Facebook a “Senior Spotlight” post in which she stated that she was looking forward to going to a university in August and confirmed her major.
She also shared a TikTok video in a yellow cap and gown while walking on stage, She captioned, “Proved the haters wrong,” “Next stop graduating college! #honeybooboo #fyp #2023 #trending #senior #graduation.”
Alana’s mom and her sisters named Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon who is 23 and Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, who is 28 and suffering from cancer also attended her graduation ceremony.
17-years old mom told E! News that they screamed in the ceremony. She said, “We pretty much screamed the whole entire time,”
She also said, “Yeah, some naysayers commented, like, ‘Man y’all didn’t let anybody else hear their child’s name.’ But that’s really what you’re supposed to do on graduation, whoop and holler like crazy, because we weren’t the only family there doing that.”
Shannon also share how she brought the family together, she revealed, “A year ago, there was a lot of crazy friction,”
“And we’re also dealing with that stuff with Anna. A lot of stuff has been happening in the last few months with our family. It has been rocked to the core with everything.”
