American Broadcast is living a peaceful life with her two adopted daughters as she reveals some rare snaps with her 3-Year-Old daughter named, Hope who was hospitalized earlier this year.
On 6th June, Mom Hoda Kotb shared a picture full of happy faces via Instagram with her two adopted daughters Haley and Hope sitting on the floor. She also wrote a caption with a red heart, ❤️.
On the episode of March 6 of Today show, mom Hoda reveals her daughter was in ICU for a few days. She said, “My youngest [daughter], Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week.,”
“I’m so grateful she’s home. … I was waiting for that day to come. And we are watching her closely. I’m just so happy.” An American Journalist added.
She also shared some personal issues, The mother of two said, “You know what I realized, too, Savannah? When your child is ill, the amount of gratitude you can have for people who helped you out … I’m grateful for the doctors at Weill Cornell who were amazing and the nurses,” she said. “And I’m grateful to my family.”
Who is the father of Haley and Hope?
Joel Schiffman is the father of Haley and Hope. Kotb and Joel started dating in 2013. On November 25, 2019, Kotb announced live on Today that she was engaged to Schiffman. The couple adopted 2 daughters together and separated ways in January.
Hoda declared their separation live on Today, she reveals they will be good friends. Kotb said, “Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we’re better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple, so we decided we are going to start this new year … on our new path as loving parents to our adorable, delightful children, and as friends,”
When Hoda Kotb adopted her first child?
Famous American broadcast doesn’t have her own kids but she adopted her first child, a daughter in 2017 when she was in her 50s and adopted her second child, a daughter in 2019 with joel schiffman.
Mom Hoda doesn’t feel embraced as an older mom, she also admits she’s faced some criticism.
Hoda Kotb talked about a handwritten letter to “TODAY” in which she shared it was an ‘ouch’ movement for her, the television personality said, “I opened the letter, and it was something along the lines of ‘How dare you bring a child into this world at your age? Don’t you know what you’re doing to that child?”
“It went on and on. It took my breath away because that actually was my ‘ouch.’ I was scared, like, ‘Is this something that is smart for me to do, and am I helping or am I ultimately going to be harming?'”
