Duane Chapman is known for his nicknamed Dog. He recently debuted as a father to a son whose birthday is the most important day for the reality star.
Dog, 70, wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 26: “For the past four years, this day has been a terrible reminder of the fourth anniversary of the death of one of the greatest losses of my life, the late wife Beth Chapman.”
“But God redeemed the day when I learned that my son Jon, whom I had recently met, was born on this day. So now this day has a new meaning instead of sorrow. This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi”.
Duane Chapman married Beth for nearly 13 years but she died aged 51 in June 2019 after a two-year battle with throat and lung cancer, which left her in a medically induced coma before her death Went.
The former bail bondsman posted a photo of Jon and his wife in an embrace, smiling at the camera. In tribute, Dog teased that he’ll be talking more about Jon in his upcoming memoir, Nine Lives and Counting, which is due out next year.
Duane Chapman wrote in his Instagram post “To anyone who has suffered a terrible loss, please know that God restores and redeems,” “Happy birthday son, love you both.”
Duane Chapman is the father of 14 children from previous marriages and relationships, including Jon. The TV personality welcomed his first child, son Christopher, with ex-girlfriend Debbie White when he was a teenager.
Dog and Beth had two children, Bonnie Joan, and Gary. Duane Chapman also adopted Beth’s daughter named Cecily from her first marriage.
The dog has a romantic relationship with Francie Fran after the death of Beth Chapman. After a relationship, he tied the knot with Francie in September 2021.
